Resumo

Os biomarcadores são compostos específicos característicos de determinados organismos, cuja identificação em ambientes naturais permite inferências sobre a origem e os processos de evolução da matéria orgânica. São moléculas orgânicas que podem ser estruturalmente relacionadas a uma fonte biológica, um processo biogeoquímico ou fonte geográfica específica. Os marcadores geoquímicos fornecem informações sobre fonte, mecanismos de transporte, alterações e sedimentação da matéria orgânica. Além disso, os traçadores geoquímicos devem ser estáveis durante a diagênese e de fácil detecção em amostras ambientais. Neste contexto, este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar o uso de diferentes moléculas orgânicas utilizadas para a identificação da matéria orgânica.
